If you’ve been enjoying the NFL Playoffs, specifically the games on FOX, you’ve likely seen the adverts for the upcoming reality dating show Farmer Wants a Wife. And in a normal world, there probably aren’t many crossover fans who would be wanting to tune into the wild concept that was tried by The CW in 2008 and has also found great international success in dozens of countries with their own versions.

However, FOX might be marketing their way into a nicely sized audience, at least for the premiere, the way NFL fans can’t get the wild notion for a dating show out of their heads.

The show is set to premiere on Wednesday, March 8 on FOX. The first episode of the show that could gain a cult following from NFL fans will premiere at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Unlike some reality dating shows, there will be four main characters who are the titular farmers that are searching for love in throughout the season. Here are some brief details about each member of the cast.

Country music artist Jennifer Nettles will also serve as the host for the show.

Where was Farmer Wants a Wife filmed?

There is currently not any information where the new season of the show was filmed. However, the one season that aired on The CW in 2008 was filmed in Orchard Farm, Portage des Sioux and St. Charles, all locations in the state of Missouri. Though none of the cast members are from there, perhaps the plains of the United States will again be the preferred location.
