NFL free agency 2020: Best offensive linemen available

NFL Free Agency

This NFL free agency period features several intriguing offense linemen available to the highest bidder.

The offensive line continues to be one of the more underrated units on an NFL roster. This group doesn’t get a lot of attention except for when surrendering a sack, missing a block or committing a penalty.

However, a strong offensive line is often the catalyst for a winning record. This offseason those teams in need of help along the offensive line can target the players listed in this article via free agency.

Outside of my top five ranking, there are some other interesting names that could also make a sizeable impact. This group includes Connor McGovern, Jason Peters, Graham Glasgow and D.J Humphries.

McGovern and Glasgow are younger players who work along the interior of the offensive line. Peters and Humphries are options on the outside at the tackle position. Humphries is significantly younger than Peters, but comes with inconsistencies.

5. Bryan Bulaga, OT, Green Bay Packers

Bulaga enters free agency at the age of 31 and coming off a solid season. He represents a veteran option for a team looking for a stopgap solution at the right tackle spot. Bulaga has lost some of his agility over the years, but he’s someone who knows how to play the position.

At this point, he focuses on his use of angles to keep defenders out of the backfield. Any team targeting Bulaga also has to take in to consideration his injury history. He has only played all 16 games three times in his career.

The Cleveland Browns are a team to watch when trying to peg where Bulaga could land. This is a franchise that needs some veteran leadership and help at both tackle positions. Having a veteran like Bulaga along the offensive line would greatly benefit quarterback Baker Mayfield.
