Jarvis Landry is optimistic about Kevin Stefanski’s arrival in Cleveland

Cleveland Browns, Super Bowl

It was another tough year for the Cleveland Browns, but wide receiver Jarvis Landry can’t wait to get to work with his new head coach Kevin Stefanski.

Jarvis Landry is a perennial Pro Bowl wide receiver for the Cleveland Browns. While the last few years in Cleveland haven’t been filled with team success, Landry is very optimistic about the Browns’ new head coach Kevin Stefanski and can’t wait to get to work with him.

“We talked a couple of times,” said Landry to FanSided‘s Mark Carman on behalf of Old Spice. “It’s just been one message: let’s work. There’s nothing else that really needs to be said at that point. I like his mindset. Hopefully, he brings us what we need, the leadership that we need and then go from there.”

Landry arrived in Cleveland in 2018 after four seasons with the Miami Dolphins. He knew it was a tall task to help turn around a perpetually losing organization in Cleveland, but Landry knew what he was up against. He’s focused on doing whatever he needs to do to help this team win, whether that is by being a leader in the locker room or making some big-time plays on the field.

Stefanski comes from a strong offensive team in the Minnesota Vikings, where they attack opposing defenses in many ways. With a star running back in Nick Chubb and a pair of elite wide receivers in Landry and Odell Beckham Jr., there is a lot to be excited about when looking at this roster. Hopefully, Stefanski can tap into something Freddie Kitchens couldn’t as their head coach.

It’s easy to see the similarities in talent between the Vikings and Browns offense. Chubb can be Dalvin Cook. Landry and Beckham can be Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs. If Baker Mayfield can play as he did as a rookie, maybe he can have as much success in Stefanski’s offense as Kirk Cousins did this year in Minnesota?
