Twitter reacts to Antonio Brown’s farewell from the Steelers on Tuesday.
Twitter had an absolute meltdown on Tuesday afternoon when Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver, Antonio Brown, announced a farewell from the team to his fans via social media. The reactions were mixed of course. Some were sad to see Brown leave the team, others were happy to see the controversial player head to greener pastures and then there were the fans who pointed out how absurd the whole announcement was.

Multiple fans tweeted to Brown asking him to come to their teams. It’s not clear at this time who Brown is interested in playing for next.
The announcement came just hours after it was revealed that Brown was found guilty of reckless driving after not appearing in court today. The conviction stems from a Nov. 8 incident when Brown was allegedly driving a black Porsche more than 100 miles per hour in Pennsylvania.
Brown paid $426.77 in fines and has 30 days to appeal the guilty verdict but it appears as though he’s more concerned with where he’ll be playing next season — and apparently, it’s not Pittsburgh.
Brown has reportedly asked to be released from the team despite being on a four-year, $68 million contract. He will be 31 years old by the time the 2019 season opens though he isn’t showing any signs of age or wear and tear and would be an asset to any team who scoops him up.
Brown is considered to be one of the top wide receivers in the NFL for more than five years due to his history of All-Pro selections in four consecutive seasons. He has led the NFL in receptions and was the league leader in receiving yards.
