2019 NFL Draft: Miami Dolphins 7 round mock draft

Miami Dolphins, NFL Draft, NFL Draft Central, NFL Mock Draft

The Miami Dolphins are back in familiar territory entering the offseason with questions across the board and a new head coach.

There are certain teams that get lost in the mix in the NFL during a season. For the 2018 season that team seemed to be the Miami Dolphins. Aside from a thrilling last second win over the eventual Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots, it seemed like a meh season in Miami. The Dolphins have parlayed that into hope for their fans in 2019.

They let their head coach Adam Gase walk. He subsequently signed with their division rival New York Jets. After the Super Bowl they announced the hiring of Patriots defensive coordinator Brian Flores as their new head coach. This is a drastic change compared to Gase’s offensive background. Flores brings a strong defensive mind into the mix. After watching his unit dominate the Rams in the Super Bowl, Miami has to be even happier with this pick.

A question that will need to be answered sooner rather than later is what to do at the quarterback position. Ryan Tannehill was Gase’s guy and it showed. Despite Tannehill inability to stay healthy, he never looked like anything more than a mid-level starter. Miami will likely part ways with him as well, which leaves a massive hole at the game’s most important position.

Aside from quarterback there will be issues on this roster. What do they do with veterans Cameron Wake and Alan Branch? Will they be able to retain tackle Ja’Wuan James? How do they address their desperate need for a pass rush?

Some of those answers will come via the draft. Miami picks 13th in the first round and does not have any additional picks as of now. Here is how they would be best served utilizing all of those selections.
