Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen was not afraid to give New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick a piece of his mind on Sunday.
New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick usually does a pretty good job of hiding his emotions, or at least keeping them in control, during football games. That was not the case on Sunday when the Patriots were playing the Minnesota Vikings.
During the second half of Sunday’s game, Belichick got into it with Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen. The talented receiver started going at the legendary head coach, and Belichick was not having it at all.
You can see a video of the altercation below.
The Vikings were getting dominated at that point in time, so Belichick probably didn’t care too much what Thielen was saying to him.
At this point, Thielen and the Vikings have to be incredibly frustrated with how the season is going. After signing Kirk Cousins to a three-year, $84 million deal that is fully guaranteed, the Vikings were supposed to be a power in the NFC. As things stand, they are fighting just to make the playoffs as a wild card.
In some ways, this has to be even more frustrating because of how bad the Green Bay Packers have been this year. Since the start of the Brett Favre era in 1992, Green Bay has dominated the division, but at 4-7-1 this season, Minnesota had its window to finally take the next step. Instead, the Vikings are middling, stuck in neutral.
